Status of Holy Prophet (PBUH) in the social Setup of Islam: An Analy
Abstract
The personality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the hallmark and the pivot of the social structure of the Muslims. Directly or indirectly, the life of the Prophet of Islam is the fundamental and major source of all the social norms of the Muslim life. His Sunnah and Hadith dominate the overall norms of the Muslim culture and civilization. The newly converted Christians generally and specially those who belong to the subcontinent have targeted the social life and norms of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and have tried to make it controversial among his followers. According to the social vision and philosophy of the Muslims, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is absolutely innocent, supreme, ideal and the climax of the human history of all the ages. But, the newly converted Christian writers have raised allegations against the status of the Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH). They have also criticized his social vision, approach and structure of the Muslim norms in the society in their autobiographies. The Muslim scholars feel the dire need of a research based study in this direction. This research article has been compiled to fulfil this present day need. In the given article, the allegations and objections mentioned in “Safer-e-Dakken” by Padri J. Ali Bakhash and “Bishop Subhan-Eik Sufi ki Daastan-e-Hayat” by Bishop Abdus-Subhan related to the social value of the teachings and traditions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) have been analyzed in the light of basic Islamic sources.
