The Need of the Study and Analysis of the Divine Books for the Illumination of inter-Faith Harmony in Pakistan

Abstract

Inter-Faith Harmony creates and promotes justice, equality, national progress and educational evolution. Pakistan is such a unique state where the followers of different religions have their own special cultural significance. The socio-religious, political and economic perspective of Pakistan demand that the prestige of different religions must be ensured. The prevailing international current affairs and the internal national situation of Pakistan have attracted the attention of the related authorities and officials to ensure the rights of the followers of all the religions living in Pakistan. The protection and prosperity of their culture must be upheld and safeguarded. Their worship places should be secured and they should be given equal chances in public services. In this regard, it is necessary to eradicate injustice, prejudice and inequality from the society. For this purpose and environment of tolerance, forbearance and brotherhood should be created and maintained at all levels. Pakistan has a very sensitive social position where multi-religious communities exist. Pakistan is such a Muslim majority state where the religious minorities like Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Buds, Kailash, Parses and Bhai’s also live in large numbers. The neighbors of Pakistan are of great importance for us as being a multi-religious Muslim country. Our traditional rival neighbor is a Hindu majority state where Muslims as well as the believers of other religions live. China is situated in our north which has the largest population in the world where people of most of the religions exist. Iran has its peculiar importance in the international community while Afghanistan has been facing several sensitive socio-religious situations. Pakistan’s political as well as geographical place cannot afford to face any of the religious and social prejudices. In this background, it is the need of the hour that the multidimensional ideologies of Inter-Faith harmony must be interpreted and understood. In this regard, the study and analysis of the heavenly books like Torah, Bible, Zabur and the Holy Quran must be undertaken. This research article has been presented to fulfill this scholarly need.
