A Critical an Analytical Study of the Style and Manner of The Manuscripts of the Life of Prophet (Pbuh) In Punjab

Abstract

 People have been working on the topic of Life of Prophet (PBUH) for centuries in almost every area and language; and it is believed that this will go on till the doomsday. Besides all other languages and areas, the biographical work on the life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) continues in Urdu in Punjab. In this field, many ulama, researchers, intellectuals and poets are managing for their salvation for Hereafter. It is difficult to encompass published and unpublished scripts. In this area, hundreds of books have been published on the biography of the Prophet (PBUH). Several others are there in unpublished form in the private or governmental libraries awaiting publication. In these books, light has been thrown on the different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Centuries old manuscripts are under our consideration in this article. The basic task of our research is to throw light on the number of manuscripts’ style, ideologies, thought, influences, religious purposes, characteristics, merits and demerits in the Province of punjab.The narrative for the topic of research is based on analytical and critical approach.
